BEAUTY SPOT: Bronze Goddess
As our thoughts turn to summer, so does our beauty regime, and Becci Vallis thinks she may have found the perfect collection
A complete capsule collection of cosmetics, fragrance, self-tan and suncare, you barely need any other products to see you through the summer with the aptly named Bronze Goddess, which is why it’s being heralded as one of Estee Lauder’s best colour collections to date.
The self-tan products build up a gradual, natural-looking tan, and for sun protection, the new Sun Indulgence lotions for face and body in SPF 15 and SPF 30 will ensure your skin is sufficiently guarded against UV rays. There’s even a tan enhancer containing Aloe Butter which is great for doubling-up as an after-sun too.
Another thumbs-up goes to the addictive beachy scent that all of the self-tanners contain, although bear in mind it’s not the same fragrance that features as a standalone scent, because the Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche has a much richer, spicier bouquet. With hints of cinnamon and coconut, it definitely conjures up a feeling of summer, but surprisingly, the self-tanners smell both lighter and fresher.
Other stokes of genius include the Luminous Liquid Bronzer – a hero product that adds a wash of colour and makes skin glisten; the duo-tone eye pencil and the sought-after sand and sea eyeshadow palette – including six shades from sand to gold to brown to teal, the turquoise shades will work well with most skin tones and hair colours, they look gorgeous next to sun-kissed skin. Add to that lipsticks, nail lacquer and glosses, and it’ll soon become clear that the range is all you need to arm yourself with this summer.
Prices for the Bronze Goddess range start at £12. Exclusive to House of Fraser throughout April, the collection will launch onto counters nationwide and www.esteelauder.co.uk on May 4th.
