BEAUTY SPOT: Latest in Beauty
You sample new beauty products for a nominal fee and they benefit from your feedback – now why didn’t we think of that?
Isn’t it annoying when you spend twenty quid (or more) on the latest beauty in-thing, only to get it home and realise that it’s completely wrong for your skin?

But isn’t it great when you unthinkingly try a sample you get free in a magazine, and then discover that it couldn’t be more right for your skin and you wonder how on earth did you live without it? If so, you might like to sample this…

Latestinbeauty.com is a new site that gives us the chance to try before we buy, for just £1. We get to choose three samples from those on offer - At the moment they have such brands as Estée Lauder, L’Occitane and Hugo Boss… Then, you text the site to receive a reference code (this is what costs £1) - don’t worry, your number won’t be used for any other purpose - insert the code in the required field and your chosen collection will arrive through your letterbox in a matter of days. The service is limited to one lot per month.

I’ve properly road-tested the site, meaning I purposely selected items I’d never tried before, all by Mary Kay… My findings found an MK Mineral Eye Color to be the perfect, everyday shade to suit everyone - trust it to be named Sienna.

The MK Satin Smoothie Hand Scrub is a deliciously scented, apricot treat and the best of the bunch, MK Time Wise Firming Eye Cream, which feels as fabulous on my lips as it does around my blinkers…
