Today I was introduced to the perfect partnership. No, not Katy Perry and Russell Brand, or indeed hot new ‘celebrity’ couple, Basshunter and Katja, (and I only know about that one because I overheard some celebrity-obsessed minions talking about it on my way to Waitrose).

Oh no, this new match made in heaven comes courtesy of the one and only Estee Lauder and US designer darling, Michael Kors. Best known for his clothing collections and more recently, his fragrances – the Very Hollywood solid perfume ring last season was a real gem – the latest string to add to his beautifully tailored bow is a must-have make-up range.

Named the Estee Lauder Michael Kors Very Hollywood Colour Collection (no prizes for the catchy name), it incorporates two looks – Bel Air beige and Rodeo pink – perfect for American prom queens and striving starlets.

Including everything from rosy blushes to peachy lip-glosses, my personal favourites are the Eyeshadow Duo in Night Star and the oh-so lovely Lip Sheen SPF 15 in Hollywood Gold which protects and perfects my pout come wind, rain or shine.

Strictly limited edition, the collection is available exclusively in Harvey Nichols, but will be available nationwide from February 1st, by which time I’ll have found something new to lust after.
