Weird news
Independence Day, the World Cup and Wimbledon Tennis are but a few of July's events – along with other eventful weirdness

Eggs-traordinary!
Ms Fiona Exon from Cumbria was to discover her half a dozen box of eggs was a one in a trillion. Cracking each of the large eggs into her bowl, her and her partner were left gobsmacked at what they saw – double yolks from every egg! Astounded already by the first one and extra spooked by the last, nevertheless, they got their money’s worth! This calls for a stack of eggs-tra big pancakes please.

And they call it puppy love
A man was arrested for attempting to pet and kiss a police dog, Bodie, in a hotel in New South Wales, Australia. Asked to stop by the dog’s handler, the man refused and continued. He soon became aggressive, so much so that he had to be subdued with capsicum spray by DCI Wayne Murray. Maybe the man claimed to be Bodie’s best friend?

Flippin’ bubbly
For this year’s Chinese New Year, two Beluga whales have been taught to blow rings and even heart-shaped bubbles underwater. The Chinese whales have trained for only a year showing that they are creatures of intelligence and grace. They will show off their talents for the New Year, which falls on Valentine’s Day too. Blow us a kiss then: mwah!

Danger Mouse
Those unlucky in love should not go about exploiting their ex’s phobias in attempt to regaining their affection. A 59-year-old man from Stockholm posted 19 mice through his ex-wife’s letterbox, knowing full well that she suffered from musophobia. Waking in fright at finding the rodents scampering about her apartment, she called the police to retrieve them. What a love rat!

Achin’ for some bacon?
Argentina’s president Cristina Fernandez claims that pork may well be better than Viagra, the pill known to aid men’s sexual performances. “I’d say it’s a lot nicer to eat a bit of grilled pork than to take Viagra,” she states. After a “satisfying weekend”, she argues these claims could be true. Forget muscles and strawberries for aphrodisiacs then; a trip to the butchers it is.

And as Easter approaches...
We can smile as we commemorate the passing of Oolong the rabbit, who built a reputation for himself in Japan. His owner took pictures of his pet balancing various items on his head, now available to buy as a book featuring 120 odd photos of this cute talent. Sadly Oolong passed away at the age of eight but his legacy will live on through his popularity that sparked over ten years ago despite the site being in Japanese. Aww!

I love the quirky love stories. I can't believe Katy waited until she was married for her first kiss, hopefully it wasn't a case of 'Never been kissed' and really, would anyone buy that bra, lol! I've got to tell my mate about the Maccy D's diet, classic! Great stuff.
